As part of CSG's network of business suppliers, Parcelly was invited to attend the Costcutter Supermarkets Group Conference & Expo 2016 at the ACC Exhibition Centre in Liverpool this week. The event was set over two days, including a Gala event hosted in celebration of CSG's 30th anniversary this year. By bringing together hundreds of dedicated retailers and suppliers, the Expo offered a fantastic opportunity to showcase products and services as well as develop stronger relationships with CSG retailers and suppliers.

We are very happy to announce that All Day Minimart has been awarded Parcelly's Business Partner of the Month for August 2016. Situated within 5 minute walking distance from both Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations, All Day Minimart has been a committed Parcelly collection point since September 2015.

The award is a real testament to the store's success in generating a consistent parcel flow since joining our Parcelly network:

Click and collect solves a big issue consumers have when buying online, which is that they are not always at home to collect their parcels. However, it also brings into two further issues: retail outlets have limited capacity to store their products and collection points are rarely in close vicinity to the customer.

At Parcelly, we solve all of these matters. By transforming redundant space in local businesses into parcel collection points, any business can become a location where parcels can be collected by shoppers. Also, our service gives the consumer complete control of where and when they collect their parcels. In a recent interview with Sean Fleming from eDelivery.net, our CEO, Sebastian Steinhauser, summed this up well; “Customers are very keen to have more control. You don’t need to put your schedule on hold with click-and-collect. In addition to this, home delivery is an environmentally poor choice. When a parcel is missed by a customer, multiple attempts are needed for one delivery. This leads to increased traffic, not to mention air pollution".

Parcelly announced GOLD winner of the Publicis90 initiative

More than 6 months ago, Publicis Groupe, the third largest advertising and PR firm in the world, announced Publicis90 - a global competition to both find and fund 90 startups and entrepreneurs in celebration of the company’s 90th birthday.  6,000 applications from start-ups and entrepreneurs across 141 countries entered the competition, which was then shortlisted to 320 finalists in April.  Parcelly was delighted and honoured to have been one of the few firms selected for this shortlist, which included many other incredible start-ups.
